I was fortunate enough to be asked to take some photographs for Jen and Clayton who are getting married soon. The purpose of our shoot was to capture a number of photographs from which they could choose to use for their wedding invitations. These are a few of my favourite images from our shoot. I wish you two all the best for your wedding day and hope that it is everything you imagine it will be and more.

A house is not a home without a dog.
It is amazing how some things fill your heart without even trying. I never knew that it was possible to love something so deeply that it would change your life in so many ways. I soon realised that this was indeed possible after having a dog. I do not say that I owned a dog, as this would imply that he was a disposable object or item rather than a member of our family. He not only shared our home with us but our hearts as well. Coming home to your dog at the end of a long day is the best thing! You are always welcomed with slobbery kisses and a tail that wags frantically as you greet one another. If this is not the best thing to come home to, I do not know what is.

Thunder is the sound of hoofbeats in heaven
There is something about being able to move as one, as a team, as a unit that has always fascinated me. It is the unspoken bond shared between a rider and their horse that is so significant and beautiful. Not many people can say that they trust their fellow four-legged friend so much that they are willing to risk their lives each and every time they find themselves in the saddle. How is it that these mighty beasts can be both fragile yet powerful at the same time. They listen to our aids and do as they are asked but in the end they do have a mind of their own and with a swish of their tail and a lifting of their legs, they could be rid of us within a few seconds. Horses are horses and we could never change them completely for they are animals of fright and flight.
